GCash Strengthens User Security with International Data Protection Firm’s Certification

The leading mobile wallet is now Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard certified

GCash, the leading mobile wallet in the Philippines, has received compliance certification from the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). The certification, administered by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, which includes major global credit card brands such as MasterCard and Visa, guarantees the highest level of data security for GCash users. The annual compliance validation was conducted by ControlCase Inc., a global provider of certification, cybersecurity, and continuous compliance services.

GCash President and CEO, Martha Sazon, said the certification is a testament to their commitment to the highest standards in safety and security and a reflection of their dedication to data privacy and cybersecurity. The formal certification ceremony was held at GCash headquarters and attended by key executives, including ControlCase President Suresh Dadlani and business development head Michelle Mascardo.
