Flowboarding, a very popular sport that appeals to 70 million enthusiasts worldwide, is a combination of three fastest growing sports in the world – surfing, skateboarding, and snowboarding. Flowboarding uses the boards similar to wakeboarding looks like your are surfing if standing or body / boogie boarding when lying down.

The FlowRider attraction is essentially a ride that generates a thin sheet of water that flows in the form of an endless, perfect ocean swell and is made of a composite membrane that absorbs falls at all times. The resulting wave-like shape permits riders of all ages to experience the thrill of riding waves regardless of location.  It is very safe since you won’t drown in inches of water and you fall into a soft membrane like a cushion.

I have tried a flowrider at Wild Wadi Water Park in Dubai, UAE and really enjoyed it and keep coming back to the attraction given a chance.

It is a  skill based ride meaning the better you are on it, the more you enjoy the ride compared to just thrill rides that you just enjoy the ride. This sets the FlowRider apart from other attractions. The more you ride, the better you become, making you push harder and develop your skill. There is a sense of accomplishment that comes with all your efforts. The sport of flowboarding delivers both challenge and reward, which translates to a solid base of repeat riders.
