Facebook Scam Offering Free Samsung Galaxy Tablets to Trick You to Increase The “Likes” of a Page

I still can’t understand why people easily get fooled or sucked into scams like this one I’m about to describe!

When I opened my Facebook today, I got an invitation for Joining an Event that say “xxxxxxx invited you to Beenish Khan‘s event GET FREE Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 – Limited Offer.”

I clicked on the event invite out of suspicion and the invite contains the following details:

As a Promotional offer , Samsung has decided to give away 10,000 Galaxy Tabs FREE to our users online.
How does this work? Follow these steps : (SCROLL DOWN / SEE MORE *)

Step 1 : Click on “Join” at the top of the page.

Step 2 : Like page https://www.facebook.com/Nokiazuaf <—
Step 3 : Click ” Invite Friends” at the top of the page and select your friends and click SUBMIT. Gift voucher you receive depends upon amount of friends you invite.
Invite 50Friends = Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus
Invite 100Friends = Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7
Invite 200Friends = Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
Invite 500Friends = Samsung Galaxy Note + Tab 10.1
Step 4 : Comment – ” Great 😀 Thanks Samsung ! ” below.
IMPORTANT : Please perform all the steps carefully, every step is important. Recipients would be contacted shortly via Facebook Messages.

This is a scam!  It just tricks the victims into Liking someone’s Facebook account and increase the visit count on his blog.

As a friendly advise, please don’t get tricked into this “Free” scams.  If it is too good to be true, 99.99%, it is a scam.  Check first who is offering what? Is it a reputable company?  How can they offer such a good promotion? What is the catch?

Just ignore the invites like this scam.  Be safe. Think before you click!
