The popular Akira Japanese restaurant has opened it’s latest branch at Alphaland Makati Place. Located at 7232 Ayala Ave. Extn. corner Malugay St., Makati just behind the Columns near the Makati Fire Station.

The Art of Sushi and Tepanyaki as the tagline says, they specialize in sushi and teppanyaki dishes. Their Teppanyaki Chef is Chef Lucky Salcedo and the Head Chef is Chef Tom who spend 20 years in Japan.
Akira serves authentic and great tasting Japanese food and drinks. They have an Al Fresco area in addition to the air-conditioned interior area. The resto can seat around 70 to 120 customers. The interior of the store is inspired by al fresco fall in a fall season of Japan with leaves blown by the wind. Kenneth Cobonpue especially designed their chairs called Kawayan Too Chairs to compliment his red Yoda Chairs.

Akira Alphaland Makati Place is a franchise store. The 3rd Akira store located in Malugay St.corner Ayala Avenue Extension, Makati City. Akira AMP is the first restaurant conceptualized by World Renowned Industrial Designer Kenneth Cobonpue. Its a collaboration with Gilbert Go, owner and President of Golden PotBelly Pig Corporation who took the Akira Franchise.
