Epson Expands Presence in the Philippines with Launch of Davao Office

Epson, a global technology leader, has been experiencing significant growth in the Philippines, establishing a strong foothold in the local market over the past two decades. Building on the successful launch of its Philippine Headquarters in Pasig City last February, Epson continues its investment in the country by inaugurating its latest Sales Office and Solution Center in Davao City.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. Leading the official launch of Epson Philippines Corporation (EPC) Davao Sales Office and Solution Center were (L-R) Benjamin Villacorta III, Regional Sales Manager, Masako Kusama, EPC President and Director, and Cristopher Sanchez, head of Sales Division.

The Davao Sales Office has played a crucial role in bringing Epson’s innovative products to customers in the southern region of the Philippines. It initially opened its doors on Bonifacio Street, Davao City in 2005, staffed by one regular employee and three promoters catering to Davao City dealers. As operations and profitability grew, the office relocated to a larger space within the heart of Davao City.

Today, with 45 managed partners throughout the region, the newly upgraded Davao Sales Office manages a multimillion-dollar business in Mindanao. To further empower customers across Mindanao, Epson has transformed its new office space into the first Solution Center in the region. This Solution Center serves as a showcase for Epson products and provides consumers with the opportunity to explore the company’s sustainable business solutions through live demonstrations. Emphasizing sustainability, the Solution Center highlights Epson’s environmental solutions, such as its heat-free technology in inkjet printers. This technology eliminates the need for heat in the ink ejection process, leading to lower power consumption and enhanced productivity for users. The Solution Center, situated at the GIMS Building on Angliongto St. corner Liceralde Village, Davao City, offers a comprehensive display of Epson’s unique portfolio of printing technology and visual imaging products.

During the inauguration, Epson Philippines President Masako Kusama expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “With Epson’s investment in our new home in Davao City, we have consolidated our resources in one place so that our customers and partners in the region can access all our products at our new Solution Center.” She further emphasized Epson’s confidence in the growth potential of the Southern Mindanao region and their commitment to supporting the local community through innovative solutions.

Looking ahead, Epson aims to collaborate with local communities, providing them with access to digital innovation and contributing to the region’s economic growth.

Davao City Mayor Sebastian Duterte conveyed his congratulations to Epson, recognizing the company’s position as a leading provider of digital printing solutions in the country. He expressed optimism about Epson’s ability to deliver quality service and innovation to the market in the region, wishing the company success in its continued expansion in the Philippines.

In recent years, the Davao region, especially Davao City, has attracted increased investor interest due to its strategic location as a regional trade center for Southern Mindanao. The Philippine Statistics Authority reports that the Davao region’s economy grew by 8.1 percent in 2022, reaching a valuation of 954.1 billion pesos—an increase of 71.9 billion pesos from 2021 and 53.2 billion pesos from pre-pandemic levels in 2019.

Epson’s move to the new Davao Sales Office and Solution Center reflects its commitment to contribute to the growth of the Philippine market and improve the lives of Filipinos through efficient, compact, and precise innovations that pave the way for a sustainable future.
