Technology, no doubt has trailed an exciting path and paved way to boundless opportunities for everyone – particularly in terms of communication and transportation. That is the same potential that Harvard Business School Grads Anthony and Hoi Ling Tan of KL, Malaysia saw. In their heroic quest to counter the daily horrors of their countrymen in picking a cab during busy hour, they came up with an interesting application (MyTeksi) using smart-to-smart phone system for booking and dispatching cabs.
Setting a new benchmark
They base their optimism in growing signs, and in the basic need of their people. The APP that was officially launched in 2012 and has been a phenomenon. And in the short of period of time has grown quite rapidly and zoom its way to other countries and key cities in South-East Asia such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines.
As of this writing, a staggering 3 million mobile devices has downloaded GrabTaxi Application, 60 thousand drivers were registered, and barely half a million or so has been commuting through GrabTaxi in Asia alone. A strong testimony that a that the company has kept it’s guiding principles of safety, certainty and speedy service reliable and accurate.
