Durex challenges guests to test their knowledge on sex and pleasure

Studies reveal that sexual pleasure is a vital element in any healthy and stable romantic relationship, comprising 15 to 20 percent of it. A survey of 300 respondents showed that Filipinos engage in sex three times a week, on average. Interestingly, the survey also found that Filipinos are willing to use products to elevate their lovemaking, with lubricants being the most popular among unmarried couples.

Despite this open-mindedness towards using products, many Filipinos are still uncomfortable discussing sex in public, with friends, or even with their partners. This lack of communication about sex can create a pleasure gap, leaving individuals unsatisfied in the bedroom.

Durex, the world’s leading condom brand, recognizes the importance of sexual pleasure and encourages open conversations about it. They placed sex and pleasure at the forefront with “What’s Your Pleasure?: A Durex Valentine Quiz Night.”

Normalizing pleasure

“What’s Your Pleasure?: A Durex Valentine Quiz Night” took place on February 16 at Dr. Wine Manila in Makati City, putting sex and pleasure at the center of the event. The quiz featured three rounds, with each round having seven questions that tested participants’ knowledge on pleasure, sex in pop culture, and protection in the bedroom, all courtesy of Durex. The group that obtained the most points won a grand prize of Php69,000.

The quiz questions ranged from studies done about sex, such as the link between sexual pleasure and improved immunity, to trivia, like the fact that only 30 percent of men worldwide are circumcised. Participants were also tested on their knowledge of Durex products, including condom flavors, ribbed or dotted products, and the hashtag #ComeTogether.

In addition to promoting fun and titillation, the event aimed to normalize conversations about sex and pleasure, as explained by Camille Taguba, Brand Manager of Durex. Taguba emphasized that Durex wants to help people explore their pleasure and unleash their true sexual selves by providing a range of products and normalizing conversations about these topics.

Durex offers various products that can enhance sexual pleasure, such as Durex Invisible, ultra-thin condoms, Durex Performa, which helps men last longer, and Pleasuremax, Durex’s ribbed or dotted condoms for added intensity. Durex Play Feel lubricant is another product that enhances pleasure by making sex wetter.
