Deal or No Deal Presscon with Luis Manzano

Last February 2, 2015, a presscon was held by ABS-CBN for the Kapamilya Deal or No Deal game show at the Dolphy Theater. Luis Manzano, the game master and host of the show along with the executives of the game franchise were present to answer the questions from the press about the new format of the show.

The all-new “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” returns with Luis as the host and a new format without the 24K girls! They will be replaced by a diverse mix of popular personalities that will not only hold the briefcases but also given the chance to make a deal of a lifetime as the Lucky Star. The 20 (instead of 24) Lucky Star members will be comprised of a teen heartthrob, beauty queen, comedian, character actor, sexy actress, and other personalities to added to the mix to make the show more exciting.

The new jackpot is P1 million. Before the game starts, a roulette will determine who among the 20 Lucky Stars will be the player for that day. The chosen player for that day may opt to keep his or her briefcase or trade it with another Lucky Star. After that, the bargaining starts and the player opens the briefcases. Then the banker gives offers accordingly.

This is a unique implementation of the ‘Deal’ franchises that the briefcase models will be replaced by popular personalities who will also serve as contestant. Each of the 20 will have a chance to be a contestant and when all of them got the chance, a new fresh set of 20 Lucky Stars will be participating.

The all-new “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” game show premieres on Monday, February 9, 2014 on ABS-CBN.
