Day One of the 33rd Travel Philippine Mart officially starts their “Safe Travels”

The Philippine Tour Operators Association opened their 33rd Philippine Travel Mart exclusively at SMX Convention Center last September 30, 2022. Following the theme “Safe Travels”, PTM aims to continue and promote fun while traveling with safe, inclusive and sustainable tourism. This bazaar gave a chance for the different regions in the Philippines to showcase their diverse culture, food, and tourist spots that one would like to experience. Gathering 300 tourism organizations or institutions along the country, this bazaar will be open until October 2 from 10AM to 7PM, making it the largest and longest travel exhibit in the Philippines.

The opening of the bazaar started through a ribbon cutting led by the PHILTOA President, Ms. Fe Abling-Yu and other honorable people. As soon as the door opened, colorful and festive booths by travel operators and representatives from different cities were seen in every premises of the hall. Following the ribbon cutting ceremony, a program was arranged to formally begin the bazaar, give honor to the guests, such as governors, congressmen, representatives from different embassies, airlines and  other notable people. The program began with the opening remarks of Ms. Fe followed by other speeches from admirable people. During the ceremony, performances were also showcased particularly from the Hinugyaw Cultural Dance Troupe of Koronadal showcasing the Soccksargen colors of Mindanao. 

After the formal ceremony, the exhibition of different booths began. All regions starting from Luzon, Visayas to Mindanao have shown what are the best things people could look up to their place. Free tastes of their delicacies and food were given to people, different travel and tour agencies gave discounts for their bookings and airfares, photo booths that showed the best adventures of the place were prepared and other freebies were shared to the people. Along with that are the raffles that were prepared by the main event and other booths where one can win extravagant prizes. 

Starting from 50 pesos for the ticket, you can fully experience the best things that the Philippines is offering with a fun, safe, and inclusive environment for you and the people around you.
