Nominations are open for the 2023 awards season

In the face of a post-pandemic economic landscape, business leaders worldwide have strived to drive growth and adapt to changing conditions. Amidst the ebbs and flows of the industry, it is the leaders who successfully navigate these challenges and transform their businesses that are truly making a difference. Recognizing their commitment to a progressive Philippines, the Asia CEO Awards 2023 is set to honor these movers and shakers.

Now in its 14th year, the Asia CEO Awards is reimagining its mission and vision to align with the rapidly shifting world. Rebecca Bustamante, the founder of ACA, envisions the awards as a platform to cultivate future industry leaders and solidify the Philippines’ status as a hub of business excellence. “The Philippines is brimming with talented business leaders waiting for their opportunity to elevate the economy to new heights. They possess strength, compassion, and resilience,” says Bustamante. “Every year, we witness this potential, and now we want to contribute to its nurturing.”

For 2023 and beyond, the ACA embraces the rallying cry of “ONE TRUE PRIZE.” Inspired by the concept of the awards being the foremost and highly respected peer organization in the country, Bustamante and her team aim to establish a standard of excellence for others to follow. They hope that the recognition bestowed upon the awardees will inspire a positive impact on the community.

The prestigious panel of judges for this year’s Asia CEO Awards was announced at the recently concluded media launch. Among the distinguished judges who will review the entries are Architect Jun Palafox, business leaders Bing Sibal-Limjoco, Don Felbaum, PWC Chairman Alex Cabrera, public and private sector figure Darlene Berberabe, and economist Bernie Villegas. The finalists for each award category will be announced once the panel has finalized the shortlist.

The Circle of Excellence Awardees and the Grand Winners will be unveiled at the 2032 Asia CEO Awards, scheduled to take place in October of this year.

Beyond the glamour of an awards night, the Asia CEO Awards is committed to making a meaningful impact. During this year’s presentation, Bustamante will launch the Learning Excellence & Active Development (L.E.A.D.) Center. This transformative initiative is aligned with the belief that “Together we can do more.” It aims to develop highly competent, well-rounded, and proactive individuals who will become future drivers of the nation. Through diversity, equity, and inclusion, the L.E.A.D. Center seeks to establish a foundation for informed and intelligent business practices across all sectors. The leadership development framework will also incorporate advocacy and outreach work for poverty and hunger alleviation. Initially, the L.E.A.D. programs will be offered online starting in April, with plans to conduct sessions at their soon-to-be-built facility in Tagaytay.

The success of the ACA and its programs is made possible by the valuable partners who share the same vision. For 2023, Globe Telecom returns as the grand title sponsor, extending their support beyond the awards to the L.E.A.D. Center program through their nation-building initiatives. In recognition of this partnership, the ACA made a donation to Globe’s landmark project, The Hapag Movement, during the media launch.

The Asia CEO Awards also acknowledges its elite award sponsors, including Airspeed International, Figari, Foundever, Kiyani, Lionheart Farms Corporation, Microsourcing, PLDT Enterprise, Reed Elsevier, Sprout Solutions Philippines, Inc., IcXceed, and United Neon. Prestige sponsors for the event are Beepo and PSG Global Solutions. PwC serves as the knowledge partner, while Marriott Hotel Manila is the official venue partner. The media partners for the awards include ANC, BusinessWorld, Business Mirror, The Philippine Star, The Manila Times, SMNI, Net25, and The Philippine Business And News. A-List Partners and Consulting, Inc. is the PR partner.

As the Philippines looks ahead to the future, the Asia CEO Awards remains committed to supporting the business community and its nation-building efforts. They continue their work with the aim of achieving a stronger economy and propelling the Filipino people towards a first-world status.
