Get ready to tantalize your taste buds at The Manila Hotel’s Café Ilang-Ilang as they proudly present an array of mouthwatering dishes showcasing the exceptional quality and taste of locally-sourced Kurobuta pork throughout the month of June.

Kurobuta, which translates to “black pig” in Japanese, hails from the esteemed English county of Berkshire. Revered for its generous marbling, tenderness, and robust flavor, Kurobuta pork is often hailed as the “Wagyu of pork.”

Executive Chef Konrad Walter expresses his excitement, stating, “We are thrilled to enhance the buffet offerings at Café Ilang-Ilang by featuring the exquisite produce from Esguerra Farms.” Situated in Lipa, Batangas, Esguerra Farms is committed to employing sustainable and ethical farming practices that prioritize animal welfare and environmental preservation. Within the farm, there exists a dedicated Kurobuta Village where pigs are nurtured in a safe, clean, and stress-free environment. Their shelter, diet, and care result in a higher pH level, maximizing marbling and preserving the natural flavor and healthier color of the meat.

Café Ilang-Ilang’s expert culinary team has meticulously crafted a sumptuous buffet dinner spread that showcases the exceptional qualities of Kurobuta pork. Prepare to savor a delightful assortment of dishes, including Pork Ramen Soup, Kurobuta Pork Stew in Red Wine with Sweet Potato and Prunes, Korean Style Grilled Pork Belly, Kurobuta Pork in Mandarin Sauce, Roasted Crispy Pork Pata, Spicy Thai Mince Kurobuta Pork Salad, and Mini Ensaymada with Pork Lard. These tantalizing creations will be available on a rotating basis at Café Ilang-Ilang’s Dinner Buffet, exclusively on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from June 5 to 28, 2023. The rate is Php 3,145 nett per person, with a half-rate applying to children aged 5-12 years old, while children 4 years old and below can enjoy the experience free of charge.
