Fish & Chips

Served with three types of sauce: tartar sauce, mushy peas sauce, and the chip shop curry sauce, this British staple is something you would drool for even after days.

It is something like no other and you can never find elsewhere – wanting to find a way to order it even if you’re in the province already. The saltiness of the breaded codfish is just balanced – with or without the sauces, it just tastes amazing.

With the choice of having either sweet potatoes or regular potatoes as your preferred chips, you will be wanting to order twice to taste them both compliment the fish. The crunchiness of the breaded codfish and the softness of the potatoes are a perfect pair!

While none of them are oily – which was really surprising!

Although we Filipinos love rice, this won’t culture-shock you as this Fish & Chips would still be accepted by our Filipino taste buds.

The Full English Breakfast

Breakfast for a whole day? We would totally say yes to this Full English Breakfast!

Packed with the needed carbohydrates, fiber, and protein, this big plate of English breakfast is something you’d look forward to! The fries are fried to a perfect amount – not oily and not undercooked.

The English Banger which looked like the main star of the plate as it’s the huge sausage (underneath the eggs in the image), tasted so meaty and savory. With it’s right amount of saltiness, you would really feel it’s morning again at any time you eat it!

The mushrooms are fresh and even mushroom-haters would even like how they complimented the plate.

Would you have breakfast for lunch and dinner too?

Pork & Chicken Isaw

This surprised us at first. Chicken and pork isaw in a British cafe bar? However, with the Burnt Bamboo concept from Boudica, we were introduced into a leveled-up version of our favorite streetfood!

Craved yet? You should. But this bowl of street food is way different from the things we buy outside. Sure, it tastes like the same street food we have, but it’s savory and flavor is truly something else. These adjectives aren’t as helpful, but it just means you need to try it yourself!

Also, minus the fear of uncleaned intestines, this is served a hundred percent clean!

Italian Sausage Pizza

There are no other words to describe this big plate of dough and sauce, but “It’s so Italian-y”. The flavors just burst into your mouth as the thin crust compliments every flavors in it.

The sauce doesn’t make you as dizzy (as we Filipinos are more used to less herby flavors and more on sauces), but everything is all balanced. We promise, one whole pizza isn’t enough for a whole busy day.

In fact, there are a lot of options of pizzas you can choose from in Boudica!

Crème Brûlée

Leche Flan? Almost, but with a twist!

If you never had this before, you’ll think it’s a leche flan with a hard sugary top. Although it’s close to our favorite Filipino dessert, their Crème Brûlée is creamier and not too sweet, less gelatinous unlike leche flan.

Accompanied with sweetened berries and honey, this dessert would take you places especially if you have a real sweet tooth!

These were all just their best-sellers. Founded and owned by business partners, British chef Matthew Hornsby-Bates and Matthew Kenneth Lim, Boudica was once called CargoFish and has branches in Uptown Bonifacio Mall, and CityGolf Pasig.

Take time to visit Boudica and be indulged with the flavors you surely shouldn’t miss – it is all worth it!
