Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan was supposed to hit the big screen during the 2020 Metro Manila Film Festival but wasn’t able to make the cut due to the restrictions of the lockdowns at the time – after 3 years, the film was able to finally announce their D-Day at the screen!
The film also faced hindrances upon being pulled out by Regal Entertainment. This film is directed by Chito Roño for Black Sheep and Regal Entertainment Inc.
It will be showcasing the talents of Joshua Garcia, Kelvin Miranda, Patrick Quiroz, Henz Villaraiz, Miko Gallardo, Rhed Bustamante, Yñigo Delen, Jewel Phiona Raymundo, Mr. Ricardo Cepeda, Ms. Melissa Mendez, and Ms. Angie Ferro as Mama Susan.
This film is a horror adaptation of Bob Ong’s bestselling novel, “Ang Mga Kaibigan ni Mama Susan”. This story follows a student, Galo, wanting to return home in an island where he grew up with his grandmother, Susan, after hearing the news that she is ill.
However, circumstances and experiences during his stay with her that gave an unsettling vibe. .
What kind of circumstance would Galo face? What would be the consequences of each actions? Is everything what we seem it is?
