AirAsia Philippines to Recognize Outstanding Sales Partners at the 7th Redstar Awards

AirAsia Philippines acknowledges the invaluable role played by its Travel Agency Partners, fondly referred to as the “Redstars,” in revitalizing and sustaining the travel and tourism sector, particularly during the challenging times of the pandemic when air travel faced severe restrictions.

On the 15th of May, the Sales and Distribution team of AirAsia Philippines will honor the achievements of its Travel Agency Partners during the 7th Redstar Awards.

Ricky Isla, CEO of AirAsia Philippines, emphasizes, “The resilience of the travel and tourism industry over the past three years has been a result of collaborative efforts between airline companies and travel agencies. We deeply appreciate their significant contributions in promoting our initiatives and restoring trust in travel.”

The Redstar Awards specifically recognize Travel Agency Partners who, in 2023, played a pivotal role in boosting our flight sales revenues, in addition to facilitating ancillary purchases such as meals, extra baggage, preferred seating, and services like the Fast Pass.

By May 2024, bookings have already reached 45% of the total 6.6 million seats sold in 2023. This increase is attributed to the combined efforts of Travel Agency Partners and AirAsia’s online booking platforms such as AirAsia MOVE and the official website airasia.com.
