ABS-CBN Global, a prominent Filipino media and entertainment company dedicated to showcasing the best of Filipino content and talent worldwide, recently welcomed representatives from United Talent Agency (UTA) at its headquarters in Metro Manila. The two companies joined forces in a consultancy partnership last February, with the aim of elevating ABS-CBN’s internationalization efforts to new heights.

UTA is a renowned global talent agency, representing a diverse roster of iconic artists, creators, and changemakers, including actors, athletes, musicians, writers, gamers, and digital influencers. Notably, UTA’s clients recently received over 200 EMMY nominations for this year’s awards.

During their visit to Manila, UTA’s Head of Asia Business Development, Max Michael, and music agent, Janet Kim, engaged in fruitful discussions with ABS-CBN’s top executives, participated in contract signings with artists, took a studio tour, met with heads of various business units such as music, films, talent, and content. They also had face-to-face meetings with popular Filipina actress-singer-host-model Maymay and rising P-Pop groups BINI and BGYO.

While ABS-CBN Global’s content, talent, film, music, and live events already enjoy a strong presence in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East, North Africa, and North and Latin America, the company aspires to reach a broader mainstream audience that embraces diverse and ethnic entertainment offerings. A prime example of ABS-CBN Global’s endeavors is the successful 1MX music festival held in London, headlining top Filipino music acts alongside other Asian and emerging non-Asian artists, drawing thousands of attendees. Encouraged by the reception in London, ABS-CBN Global is gearing up to bring the 1MX experience to Toronto in September and Sydney in October.

“ABS-CBN Global envisions reaching larger audiences across the entire spectrum of entertainment industry practices. With UTA’s expertise and vast network, we are excited to explore opportunities for our business verticals and position our offerings at the forefront of the media and entertainment industry, generating a significant impact on reach and engagement. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with UTA to make this vision a reality,” expressed Aldrin M. Cerrado, COO of ABS-CBN Global.
