The ASIA ARTIST AWARDS (AAA), a prestigious institution hailing from South Korea, stands as a luminous beacon of excellence in the vast realm of Asian entertainment. Originating in 2016 through a collaborative effort led by the South Korean business newspaper Money Today, alongside global media powerhouses MTN and StarNews, the AAA has consistently celebrated the crème de la crème of the region’s cinematic, musical, television, and digital content achievements.

Throughout its journey, the AAA has bestowed recognition upon illustrious figures such as K-pop legends BTS and EXO, trot sensation Lim Young-woong, as well as actors Lee Jung-jae and Lee Seung-gi. Hallyu icons Park Bo-gum and Im Yoon-ah were among the inaugural recipients of the coveted Asia Star Award. As time has progressed, the AAA’s embrace has extended to embrace emerging talents like aespa and IVE. With its remarkable track record of honoring established luminaries while propelling rising stars, the AAA offers an all-encompassing panorama of the ever-evolving Asian entertainment landscape.

The sixth edition of the illustrious awards transpired as a grand spectacle on December 2, 2021, gracing the KBS Arena in Seoul, hosted with flair by the charismatic duo Leeteuk and Jang Won-young. Their chemistry resonated once again during the seventh edition held on December 13, 2022, at Nagoya’s Nippon Gaishi Hall in Japan. As the present moment unfolds, the prospect of their return for a third occasion is yet to be unveiled.

Beyond the glitz of the spotlight and the allure of the red carpet, the AAA serves as a vital conduit for fostering collaboration and cultural exchange among artists from diverse Asian nations. By facilitating these interactions, the AAA occupies a pivotal role in shaping the future trajectory of entertainment across the region. It is a proponent of cross-cultural understanding, advocating the global propagation of Asian pop culture.

Leading up to this year’s monumental ceremony at the iconic Philippine Arena, a significant development took place when PULP Live World President and CEO, Mr. Vernon Go, along with PULP Live World’s Vice President and COO, Ms. Happee Sy-Go, convened with the AAA’s top echelons at Shangri-La The Fort in Taguig City, Metro Manila. This historic agreement was officially sealed on August 14, 2023, graced by the presence of StarNews CEO Mr. Bahg Junechul, TONZ Entertainment’s CEO Mr. Kuk Byoungjin, and its General Manager Ms. Kim Serin. This contract signing set the stage for the forthcoming 2023 ASIA ARTIST AWARDS.

The Philippines, adorned with a rich tapestry of cultural heritage and a rapidly flourishing entertainment sector, provides an ideal backdrop for this year’s AAA. Filipino artists have, of late, consistently captivated global audiences, solidifying the country as a hub of international resonance.
