Wraps up seven-stop “The Live Sessions Tour”

OPM breakout group The Red Strings has officially launched their debut EP, “The Red String Theory,” a six-track collection exploring the multifaceted stories and seasons of love. The release arrives on the heels of the band’s successfully concluded “The Live Sessions Tour,” which brought their music directly to fans across various local cities and provinces.
Band members Gello Marquez, Cedryck Guda, Llana Claire Catudio, Nicholas De Rosales, Risen Santos, and Liam Barba collectively penned all six tracks on the project, with DNA Music label head Gab Tagadtad serving as producer. The EP has already amassed nearly 5 million all-time Spotify streams, pairing three brand-new tracks—“Alanganin,” “Jupiter,” and “Kalendaryo”—with their previously dropped singles “Nasa Ulap,” “Kupido,” and “Asado.”
Destined to Connect

Formed through ABS-CBN Entertainment’s reality docu-series The Next Big Band, the six-piece ensemble derived their name from the mythical “red string of fate.” This concept mirrors their shared belief that they were always destined to cross paths and create music as a unit.
The band’s earlier releases laid a strong foundation for the EP’s current streaming success:
• “Kupido”: Released last March alongside “Asado,” the track became a viral sensation as a soundtrack for social media fan fiction, gaining a staggering 4 million standalone streams on Spotify.
• “Nasa Ulap”: The subsequent release maintained the band’s momentum, successfully landing coveted spots on Spotify’s Hot Hits Philippines, Tatak Pinoy, and OPM Rising playlists.
Taking the Music to the Malls

To celebrate the music live, The Red Strings embarked on their first-ever mall tour, hitting key regional stops including Valenzuela, Olongapo, Bataan, Telebastagan, Tarlac, Clark, and Baliwag. Providing a massive treats to concertgoers, the band shared the touring stage with an impressive roster of fellow ABS-CBN Music artists, including Bryan Chong, BRYN, Cesca, Chie, Erghyll, Jarea, JEL REY, Lala Vinzon, Off To Aurora, Sarvi, Sassa, and Yellow Pad.
