Globe marked GDay 2026 by bringing its people together through shared experiences, appreciation, and giving back. Through 917 Globe of Good, more than 800 employee volunteers contributed their time and skills to communities, while employees pledged more than ₱2 million to support the initiative.
A key part of GDay, 917 Globe of Good brought Globe employees together through volunteer activities focused on education, hunger alleviation and nutrition, disaster relief, online safety, and digital inclusion.
Through these activities, employees took the celebration beyond the workplace and into the communities Globe serves, turning the spirit of GDay into meaningful acts of service.
Bringing Globe of Good to Communities
A major part of this year’s Globe of Good was Senior Digizen, which engaged more than 600 senior citizens in Makati alone.
Ka-Globe volunteers guided participants in using technology for everyday needs, navigating useful digital services, recognizing potential scams, and staying safe online. Globe also brought the program to senior citizens in Taguig, expanding its efforts to help more older Filipinos use technology with greater confidence.
Employees also worked alongside partner organizations across Metro Manila to respond to other community needs.
In partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), volunteers helped repack family food packs, while other employees prepared and served meals through SOS Rescue Kitchen.
With the Ayala Foundation, employees supported feeding and reading activities for schoolchildren and spent time with children and young people in partner institutions.
Other volunteers also helped screen U-Go scholarship applicants online, giving employees different opportunities to contribute their time, skills, and expertise.
“GDay is about making our people feel valued and celebrating the many ways they contribute to Globe every day. What makes it even more meaningful is seeing our Ka-Globe extend that same care to the people and communities we serve,” said Carl Cruz, Globe President and CEO.
“When our people give their time, share what they know and show up for others, they bring to life the kind of Globe we want people to experience every day,” he added.
The Good Continues
The spirit of volunteerism continues beyond the two major volunteering days on September 15 and 16, with Globe employees across the country supporting communities in their respective territories throughout the month.
Employees can also share their own acts of care as Globe works toward its goal of 917 acts of good through the end of September.
For Globe, the goal is to carry the spirit of GDay beyond the celebration itself. Through the connections employees build with one another and with the communities they serve, Globe of Good gives employees an avenue to turn appreciation into action and extend that spirit of care beyond September.
