Metrobank strengthens digital wealth offering with enhanced mobile app

Metrobank continues to enhance the digital banking experience by upgrading its mobile app, giving customers a more convenient way to invest, monitor their portfolios, and manage their everyday banking needs—all within a single platform.

With the enhanced Metrobank App, customers can build their investment portfolios through Unit Investment Trust Funds (UITFs) using UITF Online, while Wealth Manager provides access to peso-denominated government bonds and other wealth management tools. Customers can also trade government securities online and get a consolidated view of their overall investment portfolio—all through the Metrobank App.

Grow Your Money with Metrobank’s 25+ UITFs

Building a diversified investment portfolio is now more accessible with UITF Online on the Metrobank App, wherever you are in your investment journey. Metrobank offers more than 25 UITFs across different asset classes and currencies, catering to a variety of investment objectives and risk profiles.

Through UITF Online, customers can invest in peso- and dollar-denominated UITFs, monitor their portfolios, redeem investments, and download statements of account—all within the Metrobank App.

Investment can start at just PHP1,000, although the minimum amount varies depending on the fund. The UITFs available to each customer will also depend on the currency of their enrolled Metrobank savings account.

Here’s How to Start Your UITF Journey Through the Metrobank App:

  1. Open the Metrobank App and log in to your account.
  2. Tap the menu in the upper-left corner, select “UITF Online,” then tap “Get Started.”
  3. Watch the UITF educational video and complete the required information to proceed.
  4. Take the Suitability Assessment to determine your risk profile.
  5. Assign a Settlement Account for your UITF account, then start investing and building your portfolio.

For existing UITF Online users: Your existing UITF account will automatically appear in the Metrobank App.

For existing UITF investors who are not yet enrolled in UITF Online: Simply enroll the settlement account linked to your UITF investment account to gain access to UITF Online.
