Rising Kapamilya P-pop group WRIVE marked a major milestone in their career as they celebrated their first anniversary with a sold-out fan gathering, “WRIVE: Unang Taon.” The special afternoon event brought together their dedicated fandom, known as Arrows, for an unforgettable experience filled with live music, games, and heartfelt gratitude.

Formed under ABS-CBN’s talent management arm Polaris-Star Magic, the five-member group—composed of Asi, Drei, Ishiro, Mathew, and Russu—expressed their deep appreciation for their supporters’ unwavering love since day one.

“Reaching our first anniversary is an incredible milestone, and we owe it to every Arrow who has believed in and supported us from the very beginning,” shared WRIVE.

Electrifying Performances & Special Sub-Unit Stages

To treat their fans—many of whom traveled from across the Philippines and overseas—WRIVE delivered a dynamic lineup of performances:

  • Pre-debut Throwback: A energetic performance of their pre-debut original track, “Hollywood.”
  • Fan Favorites: A soulful rendition of “Panaginip Na Lang,” followed by a lively mash-up jam of their hit songs that got the entire crowd singing along.
  • Special Sub-Unit Stages:
    • Drei and Ishiro showcased their smooth vocals and charm with a performance of CxM’s “Worth It.”
    • Asi, Mathew, and Russu took the stage by storm with a high-energy cover of Parokya ni Edgar’s iconic track “Bagsakan.”

The celebration resonated widely online as well, with WRIVE trending on X (formerly Twitter) in the Philippines throughout their anniversary week via fan-led hashtags like #WEARR1VENOW, #OohLaWRIVESASHOWTIME, and #WRIVEUnangTaonLIVE.

What’s Next for WRIVE: Reimagined “Sumayaw Ka” & Star Magic All-Star Games

Since their official debut in July 2025, WRIVE has been making steady waves in the local music scene. Their self-titled debut album, launched in January, has already surpassed 730,000 all-time streams.

Looking ahead, WRIVE is set to release a reimagined version of Gloc-9’s classic hit “Sumayaw Ka” this August. Fans can also catch them live at the Star Magic All-Star Games on August 23, 2026, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
