Finestra Wine Dinner

Finestra at Solaire Resort Entertainment City sets the stage for an unforgettable evening of Italian culinary artistry and exceptional wines with an exclusive one-night-only wine dinner in collaboration with Querciabella, one of Tuscany’s most respected premium wineries. The event takes place on May 28 at 6 PM.

Slow roasted toothfish, mushroom ragout, duck liver sauce paired with the Turpino 2019

Renowned for its refined ambiance and expertly curated wine experiences, Finestra continues to stand as one of the metro’s premier destinations for romantic evenings and elevated dining occasions. With a cellar boasting over 650 labels, the restaurant offers a sophisticated playground for both seasoned connoisseurs and curious enthusiasts.

Querciabella, whose name translates to “beautiful oak,” is celebrated for its elegant Chianti Classico and Super Tuscan wines, primarily crafted from Sangiovese. A trailblazer in organic and biodynamic viticulture, the estate champions a nature-first philosophy and produces vegan-certified wines—an uncommon distinction in the world of luxury winemaking.

At the helm of the evening’s culinary journey is Chef Andrea Spagoni, whose Michelin-starred background spans Italy, London, New York, and Hong Kong. Known for his intuitive and modern approach to Italian cuisine, Chef Spagoni curates a multi-course menu designed to highlight and harmonize with Querciabella’s terroir-driven wines.

The experience begins with a delicate stuzzichino of Hokkaido scallop carpaccio, paired with Mongrana Bianco 2023, where freshness and acidity enhance the dish’s subtle marine sweetness. This is followed by a luxurious lobster risotto with almond milk and bottarga, matched with Batàr 2021—often hailed as the benchmark “white Super Tuscan”—whose creamy texture and layered complexity mirror the dish’s richness.

The journey continues with handmade pecorino cheese tortelli served with chickpeas and rosemary, complemented by Chianti Classico Riserva 2020, whose structure and acidity balance the dish’s comforting depth. For the main courses, roasted toothfish with mushroom ragout and duck liver sauce is paired with Turpino 2019, while butter-roasted US beef tenderloin with braised onion and black truffle finds its perfect counterpart in the bold and elegant Camartina Super Tuscan 2019.

To conclude, a dark chocolate dessert infused with coffee and sambuca is served alongside Palafreno Super Tuscan 2021, delivering a velvety, indulgent finish to the evening.

The wine program is expertly curated by Daniel Blais, Beverage Director for Solaire, ensuring each pairing elevates both the cuisine and the wine. Set within Finestra’s elegant interiors, this immersive dining experience celebrates the seamless harmony between modern Italian gastronomy and world-class Tuscan winemaking.
