Acer Philippines successfully concluded the Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2026, reinforcing its long-term commitment to transforming education across the region as artificial intelligence continues to redefine how learning is delivered, experienced, and scaled.

Anchored on the theme “Future-Ready Learning: AI, Innovation, and Human-Centered Education,” the summit gathered education leaders, policymakers, and technology stakeholders across the Asia Pacific to accelerate inclusive AI adoption and strengthen collaboration in building more adaptive learning ecosystems.

Held in Jakarta on April 22–23, 2026—following its inaugural run in 2025—the summit brought together delegations from Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The strong regional participation underscored Indonesia’s growing role as a strategic hub in Acer’s digital education initiatives.

Andrew Hou, President of Pan Asia Pacific Operations at Acer Inc., emphasized the summit’s mission of aligning innovation with human needs.

“The Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific reflects our ongoing commitment to shaping the future of education through technology… meaningful transformation happens when innovation is guided by human needs,” he said, highlighting Acer’s focus on building inclusive and future-ready learning environments.

AI, education, and the next learning paradigm

Over two days, the summit featured discussions, presentations, and collaborative forums exploring how AI can be meaningfully integrated into education systems. Key conversations centered on personalized learning, digital literacy development, and the evolving role of educators in AI-enabled classrooms.

A major highlight was the participation of the MIT Media Lab’s City Science Group, which introduced the Learning Foundry for AI and Robotics (FAIR). Dr. Michael Lin and Dr. Wolfgang Gruel shared how Learning FAIR leverages AI to enable scalable, personalized education while preparing learners to address real-world challenges through technology-driven problem solving.

Academic and industry leaders from across the region further enriched the dialogue. Jun-Yu Fan, President of Chang Gung University of Science and Technology, presented a transformative framework titled “The Algorithm of the Nursing Soul,” emphasizing the shift from rote learning toward AI-assisted clinical insight. Meanwhile, Charles Le of Altos Computing highlighted the importance of robust digital infrastructure as the backbone of effective AI integration in education.

From vision to implementation

The summit also showcased practical AI deployment solutions from Altos Computing, including high-performance systems such as the Altos BrainSphere™ R680 F7 AI server and its AI workstation lineup. These were supported by platforms like Altos aiWorks for GPU resource management and Altos aiGeni for streamlined AI lifecycle deployment, designed to bridge the gap between infrastructure and real-world AI application in institutions.

Enabling future-ready classrooms

In support of modern learning environments, Acer highlighted its latest Copilot+ PCs powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 processors, including the TravelMate P4 Spin 14 AI, TravelMate P4 14 AI, and TravelMate P2 AI series. Designed for mobility, performance, and classroom versatility, these devices support interactive teaching, extended learning sessions, and collaborative digital education experiences.

Building an inclusive education ecosystem

The Acer Edu Summit Asia Pacific 2026 reflects Acer’s broader mission to foster collaboration between education, technology, and public policy. By bringing together key stakeholders across the region, the initiative continues to promote a human-centered approach to digital transformation in education.

Through sustained engagement and innovation, Acer Philippines and its regional partners are working to ensure that AI-driven education remains inclusive, adaptive, and prepared for the demands of the future.
