In the midst of rising fuel prices and increasing everyday costs driven by global economic pressures, the enduring Filipino spirit of bayanihan continues to stand strong—proving that communities thrive when people support one another.

Reinforcing this spirit of solidarity, Skyro, an SEC-registered fintech company, extended assistance to families in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig through its corporate social responsibility arm, SkyroShares. The initiative aimed to provide immediate relief to households feeling the impact of rising living expenses.

Around 500 families benefited from the food pack distribution, each receiving essential goods such as rice, canned goods, noodles, and drinking water—basic necessities that help ease daily burdens and bring comfort in challenging times.

“This is more than a food distribution drive; it is Skyro demonstrating its solidarity and commitment to Filipinos, reminding them that they are not alone in this crisis,” said Iya Lelyanova, Skyro Head of Marketing. “Even in the face of economic challenges, we hope to bring hope and reassurance to these communities.”

Barangay Bagumbayan Captain Hon. Jane Santos echoed this message, highlighting the broader impact of the initiative on the community.

“In times like these, when many families are feeling the weight of rising costs, initiatives like this remind us that the spirit of bayanihan is very much alive,” she said. “We are deeply grateful to Skyro for standing with our community—not just through the food packs, but by uplifting the morale of our residents across different sectors, including transport workers, fisherfolk, solo parents, PWDs, senior citizens, and homeowners’ associations. This kind of partnership brings real relief and hope to Barangay Bagumbayan.”

Beyond immediate assistance, Skyro emphasized that the initiative reflects its broader mission of delivering hope, support, and financial empowerment to Filipino communities. Lelyanova added that this outreach is only the beginning of a wider effort to reach more areas nationwide.

Through SkyroShares, the company continues to strengthen its commitment to community impact alongside its customer-first approach to flexible financing and accessible digital services.
