Gabby Alipe of Urbandub talks about Endless DVD and Endless Revisited The Concert

Last May 19, 2016, I was invited to attend a blogcon for Urbandub. Gabby Alipe talks about their new DVD and their upcoming concert.

The band originally came from Cebu but was given the chance to play not only in Cebu, but also in Manila, and other parts of the country. Urbandub was always been dubbed as the Giant Sound of the South. They have been around for 15 years, a very successful career indeed in the music industry. They were able to put out 6 albums throughout their career.

The band consists of Gabby Alipe who plays the guitars, and on vocals, John Dinopol on backing vocals and also on guitars, Lalay Lim who plays the bass and also the backing vocals, and Janjan Mendoza on drums.

The band bid farewell last April 01, 2015, decided that they needed to take a break from performing and making music as a band. Last May 09, 2015, Urbandub had a farewell concert with the original lineup entitled “Endless” at the Metrotent, Pasig City. This sold out concert of the one of the most iconic rock bands in the Philippines, was undoubtedly a bitter sweet success. The farewell concert was covered and filmed, and decided that the captured film to be in a DVD, with the same title, “Endless”. The “dubistas” will surely be delighted to what is stored in the DVD. It contains not only the concert, but also a documentary about their history and their road to success.
