As PRO-FRIENDS gears up for its 15th year in the real estate industry next year, the developer helps hardworking Filipinos achieve their dream of owning a home. Launched in February, the contest called for 90-seconds video essays from Filipinos. They were given the chance to nominated a friend or relative and persuade PRO-FRIENDS that the nominee Deserves a PRO-FRIENDS home. Mariano was nominated by his sister Marjorie who saw the struggles of her elder brother in raising his child while providing for their needs through his seafaring profession.
Mariano’s entry bested 18 others, winning a Sophie House Model from Lancaster New City in Cavite. Sophie is a 52-sq.m., single-attached house on an 80 sq.m. Lot. The House features three bedrooms two toilets and baths, a living room, dining are, kitchen, an option of family courtyard or family enclave, and provisions for a one-car garage. The nominator will also receive PHP 50,000 in cash. “Owning a Home has always been for us Filipinos. It’s important for us to be able to provide a safe environment and a vibrant community for our family. However, there are many hardworking Filipinos who don’t own a home despite oiling for years. It is our joy to help them achieve that dream,” said Richard Tay, PRO-FRIENDS’ VP for Sales and Marketing.
The entries were judge based on the contest criteria, giving more weight to the story value. Award winning director and Broadcast journalist Cesar Apolinario joined the PRO-FRIENDS executives in judging all the entries.
The Project was heavily promoted online through social media, ads which ran in online forums and in websites such as PinoyExchange.com, Inquirer.net and PhilStar.com The call entries was also heard on radio over “DZBB, DZMM, Radyo Singko, RX FM, Pinas FM and Magic 89.9. Print and TV media also covered the call for entries such as Manila Bulletin Sunday and ABS-CBN Umagang Kay Ganda and GMA7’s Unang Hirit.
Campus tours were also done to promote the contest targeting film production student. As a result the ‘PRO-FRIENDS ka rin ba?’ official website was visited by over 10,000 visitors since it launched early in the year. The entries also garnered over 2,300 Facebook votes.
